Edgo has signed an agreement with Airem Energy to supply its OP16 gas turbine to the oil and gas industry in Iraq.
Airem Energy develops and manufactures state-of-the-art gas turbine systems which set industry standards in terms of availability, reliability, and low maintenance costs. Thanks to their unique combustion technology, OP16 gas turbines can produce green power and clean exhaust gas from dirty fuel gases that would otherwise be flared, vented or simply wasted. The OP16 gas turbine has been developed to optimise power and heat and to ensure maximum fuel flexibility and low emissions.
The introduction of Airem Energy’s industry leading technology solutions to the Iraqi market will help the country to reach its target of zero flaring by 2030, boosting the country’s economy and reducing emissions from the oil and gas industry. Recent reports suggest that Iraq wastes around 62% of its gas production, which is worth around US$45 billion to the country’s economy.
Edgo Iraq will be able to supply, install and commission the OP16 gas turbine, as well as offer maintenance services.
