Airport International Group Announces Record Traffic for QAIA in July

Amman, Jordan – Airport International Group (“AIG”), the manager of Queen Alia International Airport (“QAIA”), announced that the month of July witnessed passenger traffic of 654,466 and aircraft movements of 6,459, a new record month for QAIA.

July traffic represents a 4.2% growth in passengers and 6.3% growth in aircraft movements from July 2011. Year-to-date, passengers at QAIA have grown 18.4% compared to the same period last year reaching over 3.6 million, and aircraft movements have grown by 7.7% crossing the 39,000 mark.

AIG is a Jordanian company owned by an international consortium comprised of InvestAD, Noor Financial and Investment Company, Edgo, ADPM, J&P, and J&P Avax, and it holds a 25-year BOT concession for operating the existing terminals at QAIA and for constructing the new world class terminal with an annual capacity of 9 million passengers that has reached 89% completion (see pictures below).
